Week 7 Meeting - Summer 2005

Tina led the group in a fun game where names of individuals were taped to each person's back and people had to guess who they were using only yes or no questions.

Two rounds of that game were followed by one round of the couch game which was won by the barefoot team.

CYC visits the Tofu Festival

CYC returned to the Tofu Festival in Little Tokyo, having missed it last year. The overcast skies quickly turned to sunny and made for a hot but fun day.



After a minor setback, we were all on our way.



Christine and Lisa nicely frame the Tofu display near the entrance to the festival.

Tofuzilla attempts to terrorize a lady who is having none of that.



Christina registers with the bone marrow database...or something like that.



Tom enjoys an icey treat to fight the heat.



Tony and Remy prepare to eat as much tofu as they can stomach within a certain time limit.



Remy's concentration is undeniable as he powers through package after package of tofu.



Tony appears hesitant as his taste-testing from earlier in the day hinders his chances of victory.



CYC members cheer Tony and Remy on.



Remy emerges victorious and earns two half day passes on a fishing boat out of Long Beach for his efforts. Good job, Remy.

Summer 2005 Community Service: Chinatown Clean-up

Much thanks to those who came to help pick up trash around Chinatown followed by a game of SPUD at Alpine. Don't forget: next week we will meet at noon to head over to the Tofu Festival...I think that might be Taylor on the far left.
